As Boğaziçi Eğitim Hizmetleri ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (“Boğaziçi Eğitim”), we give utmost importance to processing your personal data in accordance with the law and the rules of honesty, especially the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, without any violation and as transparent and openly as possible based on our company policy.. In addition, while processing your personal data, Boğaziçi Eğitim acts in accordance with the relevant legislation regarding the protection of privacy, information security and respect for ethical values. The following explanations regarding the processing and protection of your personal data and special quality personal data are presented to you in this document in order to fulfill the disclosure obligation arising from Article 10 of the LPPD of our Company, which has the title of Data Controller within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("LPPD"). The concept of "personal data" in this document has been used to include personal data of special nature.

Purpose of processing and transferring personal data

We will use your personal data for the following purposes:

Ensuring and maintaining communication,
Carrying out sales procedures,
Managing purchasing procedures,
Carrying out and keeping records of financial and accounting activities,
Communicating news, promotional and transactional materials,

Your personal data is transferred to our service providers (cloud computing services, consultancy services etc.), our legal consultants, Boğaziçi Eğitim business partners, banks, authorized public institutions and organizations to the extent necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes and limited to these purposes. While transferring your personal data, our company takes the necessary precautions and ensures your personal data safety. Apart from this, your personal data is not shared with any third parties.

Collection methods of personal data and legal reasons

Your personal data is collected, processed and recorded by our company by informing the personal data owner with a clear explanation in writing, asking for his/her consent, in accordance with law and good faith, related and limited to the purposes stated above.

Your personal data is processed pursuant to Article 5/2 of LPPD for the following reasons:

If being stipulated in the Law,
If it is necessary to process personal data of the contracting parties, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract,
If it is mandatory for the Data Controller to fulfil his/ her legal obligations,
If data processing is mandatory for the establishment, use or protection of a right
If data processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the Data Controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of Personal Data Owner.

Inquire whether your personal data is processed,
Request information, if your personal data has been processed,
Inquire information concerning the purpose of your personal data processing and whether such data is used in accordance with the intended purposes,
Know about the third parties to whom the personal data is conveyed,in Turkey or abroad,
Request any incompletely or inaccurately processed data to be corrected,
Request any personal data to be deleted or removed based on the conditions stated in the Article #7 of LPDP,
Request any personal data which is corrected, deleted or removed be communicated to the third parties to whom the personal data is conveyed,
Raise an objection to any consequence that you may encounter in the event that your personal data is analysed exclusively by means of automated systems,
Request the compensation of any damage you may incur, in the event that personal data is processed inappropriately against the law.

About Us

Private Acıbadem Schools, which offers preschool, primary and middle school education, was founded in 2012 in the Acıbadem neighbourhood of Üsküdar under Boğaziçi Eğitim Hizmetleri.

Recognised for the quality of its education in a short time, Acıbadem Schools has admitted students on two campuses — Acıbadem and Çamlıca — since 2017, under the vision of “Two Campuses, One School”. Planning is centralised so that programmes and practice run in step across both campuses.

In 2021 this claim was confirmed with authorisation from the International Baccalaureate Organization to implement the PYP as two campuses, one school. In addition to the preschool classes on each campus, preschool students are also served at Sultantepe Kindergarten and Gül Ağacı Kindergarten.

All staff members and other individuals associated with Acıbadem Schools must adhere to the following code of conduct:

To act in accordance with the vision and mission of Acıbadem Schools.
To uphold the principle of confidentiality in all practices.
To ensure that every child is safe at all times.
To treat all children equally and fairly.
To be available and accessible to children at all times.
To be aware of children's personal boundaries during all interactions.
To be alert and attentive to any risks that may endanger children's safety and use non- discriminatory and non-abusive language.
To consistently and consciously create a safe physical and emotional space for children to express themselves.
To ensure that children are aware of their rights.
To use positive and encouraging language to reinforce children's good behavior and
expressions.
To immediately inform those responsible if any incident occurs.
To notify the relevant person if a child appears to be out of their normal state.

The following behaviors are unacceptable under any circumstances:

To engage in any inappropriate physical contact that is abusive, humiliating, or could be interpreted as sexual or aggressive in any way.
To engage in any situation or behavior that could be considered inappropriate or abusive or that could create a risk of abuse.
To interact with children in an inappropriate tone of voice.
To use inappropriate, aggressive, or profane language around children.
To raise a child's hopes in situations where they are unlikely to be fulfilled or to make promises that cannot be kept.
To physically touch, hit, or push a child with the intent to harm or punish them.
To attempt to establish a non-professional relationship with a child.
To engage in any behavior that could be considered discriminatory.
To share information about a child's personal life without the parent's permission.
To attempt to cover up or fail to report any incident that should be reported according to procedure.
To leave a child unsupervised and alone in any situation.
